Dating a better you
Rather than spending more time searching for the best match, nearly half of today’s single people are focusing on self-improvement to up their dating game, according to Match Group’s annual study of singles in the US. Key areas of self-improvement include fitness, mental health, and unsurprisingly, appearance. Other interesting data points from the report include a quarter of active daters using AI to assist their search for a partner, while 68% of Gen Z daters say they are interested in marriage, and 49% say they want children. Dating is also getting more expensive: the average single person spends USD 213 per month on dating, up from USD 188 in 2022 and USD 112 in 2013.
