Don’t trust the science
Although the data has been increasingly consistent with global temperatures recording the hottest summer on record this year and with weather related storm damages on the rise, many still doubt the science of climate change. According to a recent Pew Research poll, 31 percent of American adults believe scientists do not understand whether climate change is occurring, up from 27% in their last survey in 2021. Similarly, 47 percent of Americans adults believe scientists do not understand the best way to address climate change. Unsurprisingly, opinions about climate change are sharply divided by party affiliation. While just 12% of Democrats doubt scientists understanding of climate change, 51% of Republicans doubt scientists understanding of the trend.
