Economic entertainment
In recent years, consumers have complained as digital streaming services like Netflix and Spotify began to raise prices. However, streaming services still provides the greatest value per hour for consumers relative to other forms of entertainment. According to McKinsey, streaming video services generate USD 0.32 per hour of consumption and streaming music just UD 0.12 per hour compared to over USD 32 per hour for a live sporting event. Further, given the average price of a US football game ticket is over USD 120 (excluding parking, food and beverage costs) and the official game time is just one hour, the real price per hour of watching live sports is much higher.
