Electric Monday
While the excitement around shopping events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday have waned in recent years, sales have accelerated this year. According to Adobe Digital, Black Friday online sales in the US jumped 7.5% Y/Y and on Cyber Monday rose 9.6%. Last year Black Friday online sales rose 2.5% Y/Y and 5.7% Y/Y on Cyber Monday. The accelerated growth this year largely reflects e-commerce share gains, as in-store sales rose 1.1% Y/Y on Black Friday this year, according to Mastercard Spending Pulse.
