Going Dutch
High inflation, rising interest rates, and macroeconomic uncertainty are having a negative effect on consumer sentiment, the Dutch national statistics agency (CBS) just reported. In 2022, 29% of adults in the Netherlands were very worried about their financial future, the first increase since measurements began in 2013. All age and income cohorts reported an increase in financial worries, but the rise was most notable among lower-income households, young adults and renters.
