In the shop
16.03.23 | Car owners involved in an accident will naturally be in the market for a good repair shop. At the same time, shop owners are having a difficult time finding qualified staff. According to the annual Fender Bender Survey, in 2022 demand for new entrant technicians exceeded 35,000, while there were only 4,500 graduates from post-secondary collision programs in the US. Even before the rise of electric vehicles, cars have become more complex, requiring more specialized training. At the same time, the population of repair shop staff has grayed. In 2022 69% of the staff of collision repair shops were aged 50 and above.
