Natural beauty
Since their founding in the prior century, beauty companies such as L’Oréal, Estée Lauder and Dior Beauty have experienced remarkably resilient growth. And there seems to be no slowdown on the horizon, with McKinsey estimating 6% annual retail sales growth for the beauty industry from USD 460 billion this year to USD 580 billion by 2027. Nonetheless, beauty companies constantly have to adapt and among other considerations sustainability will be an increasingly important aspect of beauty products. Views differ by geography, but the most important aspects that make a beauty product sustainable are 100% natural ingredients, no environmentally unfriendly ingredients and cruelty-free production, according to consumers.
