Notifications Pending
On average, Generation Z (those aged 16-27) US Americans receive 192 phone notifications per day, including an average of 281 received notifications on Mondays specifically. Those seemingly constant reminders induce these young consumers to pick up their devices 158 times per day. Led by engagement with TikTok (at least for now), Instagram, and text messaging services, Gen-Z Americans spend nearly 7.5 hours per day in front of their device screens, according to market research firm dcdx. Putting it another way, Gen-Z Americans spent 112 days engaged with their screens in 2024, up 5% year-on-year.
