Nurse!
28.04.23 | While the stereotype in healthcare that women are nurses and men are doctors is outdated, a recent McKinsey report finds that women remain underrepresented in the management of the industry. For instance, where women account for 75% of healthcare employees at the entry level, they make up 44% of senior vice president roles, and just 32% of C-suite positions. The situation is more stark for women of color who account for 26% of entry level healthcare workers, and just 4% of C-Suite roles. However, the healthcare industry is more open to women than the economy as a whole, where women account for 48% of entry level roles, and 26% of C-Suite roles.
