Password sharing
Password sharing among streaming service users is widespread, offering an opportunity for streaming companies to boost their profits as they crackdown on password sharing. A recent survey shows 26% of US streaming service users use someone else’s password. Younger users are fervent users of someone's password with 47% of 18-29 years olds saying they use someone's password, for instance their parents. To some extent password sharing is an opportunity for some to experience streaming for the first time at no cost, possibly making them more likely to convert into paying users down the road. Watching streaming remains popular, with 83% of US Americans saying they use streaming services and 65% saying they are extremely or very likely to watch these services in the next year.
