Quantum steps

Quantum computing is slowly shifting away from experimental environments in laboratories toward trying to apply the technology and commercialize it. Companies in this field are increasingly focusing on quality and robustness over throughput quantity, measured in quantum bits. For instance, companies like ColdQuanta, Rigetti Computing and IonQ are offering components, cloud computing services or quantum computers to customers. Venture capitalist are paying attention having increased equity funding from USD 400 million to USD 1.3 billion. The number of deals has also surged, from 31 in 2019 to 64 in 2023.
