Developments in artificial intelligence (AI) kept stock markets busy this year as it caused a sharp rally in several technology giants. But of course, the general public is also curious what this technology is about. And next to trying it themselves they turned to Wikipedia find out more. The ChatGPT Wikipedia page had 49.5 million views so far in 2023. On another sad topic, the popularity of reading death notices in the newspaper seems to have shifted online, perhaps evidence that almost nothing escapes digitalization trends. We are zig-zagging here, but with India becoming the most populous country in the world in 2023 it’s no surprise that cricket and bollywood films are high in the ranks too. Other very well read articles were about box office hits Oppenheimer and Barbie and some of our favorite celebrities.
